Congress Finalizes Leadership for the 112th Session

The 112th session of the U.S. Congress officially convened on January 4, 2011 and will adjourn on or about December 21, 2012. With the new Congress comes a number of new committee leadership assignments. In some respects, CJJ will be able to build on solid working relationships with key Senators who have retained their Committee chairmanships – relationship CJJ members have successfully developed and sustained over time. In other respects, CJJ has both the challenge and the opportunity to cultivate new relationships, refine our priorities and sharpen our messages and educational efforts for Senators and Representatives alike.

To contribute to CJJ’s Government Relations Committee (GRC) and related activities, contact GRC Chair Ken Schatz at kschatz@ci.burlington.vt.us or CJJ Deputy Executive Director Tara Andrews at andrews@juvjustice.org.
